Our lawmakers today paraded themselves as law breakers
after a full blown physical battle ensued at the National
House of Assembly complex in Abuja.
The fight was caused by the election of House Principal
officers which didn’t go well with a faction supporting the
ruling party.
Supporters of House Speaker Yakubu Dogara engaged pro-
APC lawmakers in a free for all fight after the later accused
Dogara of defying the ruling party.
The fight started as soon as Yakubu arrived at the House to
commence plenary.
Pro APC lawmakers rushed forward to seize the mace, hence
disrupting the plenary session.
The crisis resulted in exchange of blows, missing mace and
flying chairs.
