Nigeria continues to rack up the gold medals in the powerlifting events at the
ongoing Rio Paralympics but the table tennis stars are showing that they can
mix it up with the big boys.
Nigeria’s Ahmed Koleosho and Nick Emmanuel, who were debutants at the
Games caused a major upset in the class 4-5 when they defeated Poland.

This was after the duo failed to make a podium finish in the singles event.
The debutants defeated the European giants with a 2-1 win and hence are in
the quarterfinal of the competition.
Polish pair of Rafal Lis and Krzyszt Zylka could not match the intensity of
Nigeria as Koleosho and Emmanuel face European powerhouse, Turkey early on
Thursday.
