– The army has ignored the threat by Boko Haram to attack President Buhari
– The terrorist group had also vowed to attack the chief of army staff
– The army insist Boko Haram was weak and toothless
The Nigerian army has responded to the threat issued by Boko Haram terrorists
to capture and kill President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a video released by the group loyal to Abubakar Shekau, Boko Haram said its
members are still many and stay resilient despite the Nigerian army operation
that killed scores of its foot soldiers and recaptured Nigerian territory under its
control.
Part of their statement read: “This is our eid prayer from us and by the support
of our leader Imam Abubakar Al-Shekau. We are extending our greetings to our
people and fighters.
“Message to the infidels and the leader of the entire infidels who is President of
Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari, that he should know we are very strong and doing
very good.
“By the will of Allah under the leadership of our leader will capture Buhari with
our hands. “My last message is to you Buratai, Kukasheka and the rest of the
infidels.
“You should know that this is a brand new video which we recorded today the
12th of September 2016, using the infidel’s calendar.
“The so-called video is an attempt by the remnants to remind us that there
were once some Boko Haram elements.
“The issue of the threat to capture PMB is a complete joke and a dream of the
century. Therefore, the entire clip should be ignored as everybody is appreciative
of our feat against Boko Haram.
“It is not just an empty threat; it is a threat that has no substance at all. It is a
senseless threat from their imagination. Nigeria should simply ignore it.
